AI data fusion global leader SenSen establishes Gold Coast presence to support Queensland Smart City initiatives

Queensland’s reputation as a global leader in Smart Cities is receiving a major boost with a decision by world-leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) data fusion provider SenSen to set up a local outpost.

A leading provider of data science and analytics for Smart Cities worldwide, SenSen is opening an office at Cohort Innovation Space within Lumina  the Queensland Government’s 9.5-hectare development dedicated to growing the life sciences, health and technology-related businesses within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. Establishing a base in Queensland will help the Company service its local clients, including Brisbane City Council, Logan City Council and City of Ipswich.

SenSen’s Smart City team works with city councils and the private sector to reduce road accidents, ease traffic congestion, and automate monotonous, laborious tasks.

SenSen’s digital compliance solutions and data analytics engine work seamlessly in the background to improve the efficiency and productivity of residents and the commercial sector, all without interrupting the steady flow of people and vehicles that make a city hum. The company’s blue-chip clients are in Las Vegas and Chicago, USA; Calgary and Edmonton, Canada; Singapore and Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan, Australia.

SenSen’s Director of Smart Cities Australia and New Zealand, Nathan Rogers said the decision to establish a presence in Queensland is in line with the company’s accelerated growth plans.

“Joining an established AI hub at Cohort lets us collaborate and prime the market for digital compliance solutions,” Mr Rogers said.

“There is considerable hype and trust issues associated with AI, however by working with other AI providers we can devise strategies and help the market mature more quickly. Our new presence at Lumina puts us in a position to get noticed and puts a larger spotlight on Australia and Queensland as AI innovators.
